What to expect
Blood test
We check your iron levels. An infusion may be considered when tests confirm iron deficiency and oral iron is not suitable, tolerated, or effective.
Assessment
A clinician reviews your results with you and explains whether an infusion is appropriate, and what it involves.
Treatment
If it goes ahead, the infusion is given at the clinic by our nursing team, with you monitored throughout.
