Titration is how ADHD medication is started safely: begin low, review how you respond, and adjust step by step. We prescribe both stimulant and non-stimulant options, with a review before every adjustment so decisions are made on how you are actually doing rather than on a schedule.
ADHD medicines are controlled drugs, so private prescriptions run 28 days at a time and you pay the pharmacy's price for the medicine.
How long it takes
That depends on how you respond - some people stabilise in weeks, others need more adjustments. Reviews are 30-45 minutes and booked flexibly. The goal is a stable, effective dose, at which point we can request shared care with your NHS GP. Shared care is your GP practice's decision, and some practices in this area currently decline it for private diagnoses. Ask yours before you book. If they say no, you continue with us privately - ask reception for the review and prescription costs before you start.

- Once you are on a stable, effective dose we can request shared care. That is your NHS GP practice's decision and some practices in this area currently decline it for private diagnoses; if they decline, you can continue reviews and prescriptions privately with us.
